Here we have a beautifully carved meerschaum pipe by Haida artist Pat McGuire (1935-70). Pat McGuire was from the Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia. This is such a lovely piece, we hope you enjoy viewing our photos.
Beautiful carving on this pipe - no wonder it's a family treasure. My Great Great Grandfather had a tobacco store in early Victoria. It was called Campbell's Corner and was attached to the entrance of the Adelphi Saloon on the corner of Government and Yates. He sold Meerschaum Pipes there and though my Father had two of them they have since been lost. Next time I visit i'll have to check back on your previous posts.
